About the Commitment Book

The Commitment Book was originally launched in 2008 by the Advisor to ADAM Association, Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman, then-Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of National Development, now Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of National Development and the Ministry of Defence. It served as an avenue for men to pledge their commitment to their loved ones and to express what they are willing or would like to do with and for their families. We started with an actual book in which men could write their pledges and it served as a record of their commitment. With this re-launch, ADAM Association takes the project online, so men can access the Commitment Book anywhere and anytime they have access to a computer and an Internet connection, or even on their smartphones.

We invite all men in Singapore and Singaporean men living abroad to pledge their Commitment to their loved ones through the Commitment Book Online! Perhaps next year we can revisit these pledges to see how well you have done in meeting the goals you have set!

We invite all men to write in this book, which we will preserve for many years to come and hope that one day, we may reflect on it to see how we have fared.
